Hiring and employing domestic household staff in certain jurisdictions requires significant paperwork. In countries, such as Singapore, where domestic household staff (maids, nannys, elder-care providers, etc.) typically come from abroad, the employer is responsible for ensuring that the employees immigration status and right to work are maintained to required standards. Mee-Doo facilitates this process by collecting and holding all of the information required for a variety of official forms. Mee-Doo also supports the completion of these forms and guides the employer through the intricacies of the process. As an add-on, Mee-Doo provides a forum for employers to share their experiences and to seek advice from others in a Bulletin Board format. Also found in Mee-Doo are sections for rating maid employment agencies and for managing employee payroll, including reminders for upcoming pay dates, bonus/incentive payments and the ability to manage loans to the employee and pay advances.
